As a social psychologist, I use research, data, and statistics to gain a greater understanding of how people think, feel, and behave. I'm a storyteller who builds an evidence-based narrative; the data combined with the methodological, theoretical, and statistical rigor of my work give shape to the narrative and allow me to speak with confidence and authority.
My research lies at the intersection of cultural psychology, judgment and decision-making, and academic achievement. I examine how temporal psychological factors (e.g., future self-continuity, temporal self-comparison) affect motivation, academic performance, well-being, and long-term goal pursuit, as well as how culture influences these processes. I conduct basic research in applied settings, though I have also developed brief interventions for use in academic settings.
I have been conducting publication-quality research since 2008 and wield rigorous training in quantitative research methods and modern statistical approaches. Experimental, cross-sectional, and longitudinal research are my bread and butter, though I also have experience with qualitative studies (e.g., designing and moderating structured interviews/focus groups, content coding, etc.).
I'm also a photographer, and the icon at the bottom left redirects to my photography.
